Our Story
begins with two good friends, enjoying olive oil from the groves in Italy.
In 1974, family friends purchased a piece of property with a few olive trees on it. In 1975, more olive trees were planted, and in 1977, they had their first harvest of olives that produced First Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Until recently, only friends and family from Italy enjoyed the olive oil.
They waited anxiously for the next harvest, to fill their empty containers with oil. Soon word spread and they shared their bounty with friends in the United States.
As time passed Linda asked if they would like to label, bottle and ship their olive oil to the Hudson Valley. She suggested showcasing their olive oil as well as other oils from Italy along with the best balsamic vinegars. The first shipment arrived to the United States by boat in the spring of 2013!
Linda and her daughter, Janine, partnered together and opened Olive U!
Born and raised in a large Italian family, opening a store in Fishkill, NY selling the finest quality of products was natural. Proud of their family traditions, culture and delicious foods they now share with many, everyday. Olive U! Customers are not only buying products, they are enjoying an experience and become more then customers, they become their extend family.
Today, Olive U! not only imports and sells extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars, but also Cheeses, pasta, tomatoes, olives, delicious spreads and so much more!
